Join a Focus Group

In order to gain a deeper understanding of students’ experiences, students are invited to participate in conversations. These small group, peer-to-peer discussions offer a space for students to discuss their lived experiences beyond surveys on a variety of well-being topics.

The USC Well-being Collective utilizes these discussions to help illuminate findings beyond quantitative data like the SWIS Survey. We call this “community engaged research” because our student CHOs are co-leaders of the entire research process, along with our partners. These focus groups and listening sessions are critically important for us to gain a more nuanced understanding of the student perspective.

Attend a Data Walk

As part of our responsibility to ground work in data and context, events known as Data Walks are hosted throughout the year to share the SWIS survey results back to students. Students have the opportunity to reflect on the data as a community and provide context.
