- 2014 – Division of Student Affairs announces the 2014-2017 Strategic Plan that focuses on some health behavior outcomes
- 2015 – When higher education from twenty nine countries gathered, Paula Swinford, Director of the USC Office for Wellness and Health Promotion, participated during the creation of the International Okanagan Charter for Health Promoting Colleges and Universities in Kelowna, BC, Canada
- 2016 – Division of Student Affairs 2017-2020 Strategic Plan focuses on four goals for collaboration centered around student well-being
- 2017 – USC welcomes Dr. Van Orman, Chief Health Officer and Associate Vice Provost of College Health; Robert Albright introduces the ‘Collective Impact’ framework to Division of Student Affairs Leadership Team
- 2018 – The Office for Health Promotion Strategy is created to serve as the backbone for the USC Well-being Collective; USC Student Health, Student Affairs and Title IX create the USC Well-being Collective with a common agenda of strengthening a campus culture driven by student well-being
- 2019 – Development of 8 Student Well-being Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); Recruitment of first cohort of 8 student Community Health Organizers (CHOs)
- 2020 – The COVID-19 global pandemic disrupted the recurring meeting of the Steering Committee and Well-being Council, part of the infrastructure of the USC Well-being Collective
- 2022 – Spring 2022 Partner Convening: Well-being Collective partners meet for the first time since the onset of COVID-19; 15 Community Health Organizers support the Collective, including embedded CHOs in the Center for Black Cultural and Student Affairs, LGBTQ+SC, and Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism
- 2023 – Regular cadence of USC Well-being Collective partner convenings restarts with 9 academic schools, 20 administrative units, 41 student organizations; Monique Allard named as Senior Vice President of Student Life; Dr. Van Orman named Vice President and Chief Campus Health Office
